Drysuit Specialty Course
8:00 AM-12:00 PM
The ability to dive in cooler water (32 - 75 degrees) opens up and entirely new spectrum of experiences and challenges for the scuba diver. No matter where you live or dive, this new capability will extend your diving season, as well as open up new bodies of water closer to home. Dry suits provide divers with the ability to comfortably explore cold water. By keeping dry, through the use of neck and wrist seals, and insulated, through the use of dry suit underwear, the diver can stay warm in even the coldest waters.

The course includes drysuit and divewear rental, academic review and 2 training dives
Tuition $100.00, manual $16.95

Why specialty training? The answer is simple. An entry level course provides you with the motor skills, equipment knowledge, and minimum open water experience needed to be considered a safe diver. However, an Open Water Diver Course does not a specialist make.

Specialty training has two primary objectives: to prepare you for new diving situations, and to improve your level of skill. A specialty course takes you clearly beyond what you may have learned in your Open Water Diver Course. More than all that a specialty course is FUN!

Why specialty training? The answer is simple. An entry level course provides you with the motor skills, equipment knowledge and minimum open water experience needed to be considered a safe diver. However, an Open Water Diver Course does not a specialist make.

Specialty training has two primary objectives: to prepare you for new diving situations and to improve your level of skill. A Specialty Course or Advanced Open Water Training Program takes you clearly beyond what you may have learned in your Open Water Diver Course. Most importantly these programs are FUN!
Specialty Courses are meant to be a stepping-stone in becoming an Advanced Open Water Diver. The courses available are Boat diving, Deep diving, Drysuit diving*, Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility diving and Spearfishing.
These courses include an academic review and 2 training dives each.
You will need full dive gear. Class size is limited to 8 students.

1 Specialty Course tuition $100.00, manual $16.95
Advanced Open Water Program (4 Specialty Courses) tuition $300.00, manuals $16.95/ea
4 specialties and 24 logged dives are required to become an Advanced Open Water Diver. Unlike other programs SSI and Northwest Divers believe that experience must be combined with skills to make you a comfortable and confident diver. Being able to perform skills does not necessarily make you a good diver who truly enjoys the underwater world. As you learn the skills and gain experience by logging 24 dives you will truly become an Advanced Open Water Diver.
Space is limited so contact us today to sign up. 218 233-6088
